IMAGINE

Generating clean and green renewable energy in our shire

For more than a decade the population of Augusta Margaret River has been seeking to reduce carbon emissions.

In 2010 a commitment was made to reduce emissions by 20%, calculated to amount to 11,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent per year. This was calculated to requiring a 10MW renewable energy facility. Augusta Margaret River Clean Community Energy Incorporated was established in May 2017 to facilitate bringing this ambitious aim to fruition.

Encouraging renewable and energy efficient energy facilities to set up our shire is one of the objectives of AMR Clean Community Energy.  We envisage that the development of such substantial multimillion dollar project/s would deliver benefits for our community , support a reduction of emissions in the region and help locals to use clean energy and lower our shire’s carbon footprint.

At AMR Clean Community Energy, we are also about assisting and inspiring the community to explore and implement clean and green renewable energy options.  The best way to run your home – for your wallet and for the climate – is to have all electric appliances and cars powered by clean electricity.
